These are the bacteria beds running down from the Great Prismatic Pool in Yellowstone.
Some things are just too large to photograph while stuck on the ground. Between the size of the pool, the height of the pool and the large amount of steam, it is very hard to capture this pool. This photo shows the bacteria beds under the hot water running from the pool. The steam in the background reflects the different colors of the pool.
